New Bern, NC – Craven County Commissioner Scott Dacey announced earlier today that he has raised $168,026 for his campaign this past election quarter, significantly exceeding the $55,232 raised by his opponent, Congressman Walter Jones. This shows that his campaign message is resonating with voters in Eastern North Carolina.
Dacey’s fundraising haul came in the form of 204 separate contributions.
“I am so thankful for the support of 200+ grassroots donors. They all agree that Walter Jones is simply out of touch with our district – and that’s why they have contributed to the campaign,” Dacey said about the fundraising.
Scott Dacey is running for Congress because he believes the 3rd District of North Carolina needs someone in Washington who will commit to moving President Trump’s agenda forward, rather than Trump obstructionist Walter Jones, who is keeping the district behind. By far surpassing Jones in campaign fundraising, it is clear that the grassroots agree with Dacey’s common sense conservativism, and that Dacey is the best candidate to represent eastern North Carolina.
Dacey aims to promote common-sense conservative values, including Obamacare repeal, tax reform, and support of our military troops. During his time as a county commissioner, Dacey has worked tirelessly to support conservative policy initiatives and is ready to push for bold reforms in Washington in order to benefit the military and those who call eastern North Carolina home. The people of the 3rd District are ready for change and Dacey’s growing support shows that. His fundraising levels thus far show his campaign has momentum moving towards the Christmas holidays and Dacey is ready to keep campaigning strong in order to win the primary in May.
