Former Presidential Candidate Herman Cain Endorses Scott Dacey

Earlier today, former Presidential Candidate Herman Cain announced his full endorsement of Craven County Commissioner Scott Dacey in his run for United States Congress. Herman Cain, the former CEO of Godfather’s Pizza and of the National Restaurant

Association, ran for the Republican nomination for President of the United States in 2012 against Barack Obama.

“When I ran for President against Barack Obama in 2012, I promised you that I would cut our taxes.” Herman Cain remarked. “And when I saw that Scott’s opponent, incumbent Congressman Walter Jones, proudly voted AGAINST President Trump’s tax reform plan, I recognized just how critical it is that Scott wins.”

Scott Dacey is running for Congress because he believes the 3rd District of North Carolina needs someone who will commit to support President Trump’s agenda, rather than block the President.

“I couldn’t be more thankful for the support of one of America’s strongest fighters for conservative policy, Herman Cain. Thank you,” Scott Dacey responded.

Herman Cain joins other notable conservatives, including Governor Mike Huckabee, who are supporting Scott Dacey.

This announcement follows Dacey’s announcement from last week, where he reported his fundraising haul over the previous quarter. Dacey is grateful for his $225,000 cash-on-hand as of the end of the quarter – a true sign that voters and donors are confident in his campaign.
